Picasso's Mom
Imagine that Picasso's mom said to him, "Picasso, today we are going to paint the sky. Use only the blue paint I have provided because the sky is blue." Would there be a Picasso?
Is this really art?
When you hear the word "art" what do you think of? More likely than not, the first image of art that appears in your mind is not an adult telling a child exactly what he going to make and precisely how he is going to go about making it. "Today we are going to make birds. Paste your (pre-cut) legs here. Glue your (pre-cut) wings here. Now draw some eyes." Super, now there are 25 birds that look almost exactly identical! Is this truly art?
